Terms & Conditions

1. Bookings & Quotes

• All quoted fares are Price On Request and depend on route, vehicle type, season and duration.
• A booking is confirmed only after written confirmation (email/WhatsApp) from North Hill Cabs and receipt of any required advance.
• Vehicle photos on the website are representative; exact model and colour may vary.

2. Payments

• Payment is accepted via UPI, bank transfer, cash or card as mutually agreed.
• Toll, parking, state-entry tax, permits, driver night halt (₹300–₹500/night) and Inner Line Permits for Ladakh are extra unless explicitly included in the quote.
• GST will be charged where applicable.

3. Cancellation & Refunds

• Cancelled 72+ hours before pickup — full refund of advance (less payment gateway charges).
• Cancelled 24–72 hours before pickup — 50% of advance is retained.
• Cancelled within 24 hours or no-show — advance is non-refundable.
• Peak-season (May–July, Dec–Jan) and multi-day Ladakh trips may have stricter terms communicated at booking.

4. Itinerary Changes & Force Majeure

Mountain travel in Kashmir, Ladakh and Himachal is subject to weather, landslides, road blocks, military convoys, strikes (bandh), curfews, vehicle breakdowns and other events beyond our control. North Hill Cabs is not liable for delays or itinerary changes caused by such force majeure events, but will make all reasonable efforts to provide alternatives.

5. Passenger Responsibilities

• Carry valid government-issued photo ID at all times; foreign nationals must carry passport & visa.
• Smoking, consumption of alcohol and carriage of illegal substances inside the vehicle is strictly prohibited.
• Any damage to the vehicle caused by passengers will be charged at actuals.
• Maximum luggage as per vehicle capacity; extra luggage may require an additional vehicle.

6. Driver & Vehicle

• All drivers are licensed, locally experienced and aware of mountain routes.
• Driving hours are limited for safety. Drivers reserve the right to halt for rest, weather or road safety.
• The driver is not a tour guide unless a guide service is explicitly booked.

7. Liability

North Hill Cabs acts as a service provider. Our liability is limited to the value of the services booked. We are not liable for personal injury, loss of belongings, missed flights/trains due to traffic or force majeure, or any indirect or consequential damages.

8. Insurance

All vehicles carry mandatory commercial insurance. Guests are strongly advised to take their own travel insurance for high-altitude regions such as Ladakh.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Katra / Jammu, Jammu & Kashmir.
